Perfect Fit Guides

How to measure, how to photograph, and how the house reads a body. Ten minutes here saves a fitting later.

Take your measurements

Work in front of a mirror, over a shirt, with the tape snug but never pulled. Record chest, waist, hip, shoulder, sleeve, nape-to-hem and height.

  • Chest: fullest point, tape level under the arms
  • Shoulder: seam point to seam point across the back
  • Sleeve: shoulder point to wrist bone, arm slightly bent

Photograph for the fit read

Four frames — front, back, both profiles — full body, flat light, plain wall, phone at chest height. The fit read uses silhouette, so avoid bulky layers.

Reading ease

Ease is the air between the body and the cloth. A commanding overcoat wants more through the chest and less through the waist; a clean city cut wants the reverse. Your chosen fit style sets the starting ease and you adjust from there in the configurator.
